Who we are

The mountain is the gym

Himalayan Highs lives where two things meet: the trek and the training. We film real routes through the Indian Himalaya — the passes, the villages, the budget, the mistakes — and we show the fitness work that makes altitude feel like freedom instead of survival.

No luxury lodges, no rented legs. Just honest trails and the strength to walk them.

What you get

Everything the first trip needs

Not inspiration — logistics. The things nobody tells you until you have already booked the wrong week, packed the wrong jacket, or turned up without the permit.

Day-by-day routes

Every day mapped from the Delhi leg to the summit morning, with the altitude you sleep at and the hours you actually walk.

Permits and fees

What you need, where it is issued, what it costs and which forest-department rules you genuinely cannot bend.

Honest budgets

A real per-person range ex-Delhi, split self-organised versus with an operator. No hidden porter maths.

Kit lists that match

Non-negotiable versus nice-to-have, per route — and the same list you will be able to rent from us in Delhi.

Training benchmarks

What your legs and lungs should be able to do before you go, and how many weeks out to start.

Films from the trail

The route on film before you commit to it — weather, terrain, campsites and the bits that go wrong.

From the trail

Watch it before you walk it

Real routes, filmed as they happened — the weather that turned, the landslide that nearly ended a trip, and the kit that earned its place in the pack.

Itineraries

Plan it from Delhi

Written for people leaving from Delhi NCR with a fixed number of leave days — the day-by-day route, the permits, the honest budget, the kit list, and the season that actually works. The Delhi–Dehradun Expressway opened in April 2026, and it quietly changed every one of these trips: most Uttarakhand roadheads are now one comfortable day from home instead of an overnight ordeal.

Trek gear, without buying it

A down jacket, a four-season tent and a 65-litre pack cost more than the trek itself — and then sit in a cupboard for eleven months. So we are setting up rental sets in Delhi: pick up before you leave, drop back when you return, one refundable deposit, no ownership.

  • Down sleeping bags
  • 4-season tents
  • Down jackets
  • Rucksacks 55–65L
  • Microspikes
  • Trekking poles
  • Headlamps
  • Gaiters

Sets will be matched to the itineraries on this site — so the kit list for your trek is exactly the kit you collect.
