Plan it from Delhi

Real itineraries for the Himalaya, written for people leaving from Delhi NCR with a fixed number of leave days. Permits, budgets, gear, seasons and the day-by-day route — the things we wish someone had told us the first time.

7 routes · 3 in full detail · Uttarakhand first, Himachal and Ladakh next

New for 2026

The Delhi–Dehradun Expressway opened on 14 April 2026: 210 km of access-controlled highway that cuts Delhi→Dehradun to roughly 2.5 hours and Delhi→Rishikesh to roughly 3.5 hours by car. Every itinerary here is re-timed around it — most Uttarakhand roadheads are now a comfortable single day from Delhi instead of an overnight ordeal.

Until it is live, tell us what you are planning at summit@himalayanhighs.com and we will answer it ourselves.

All itineraries last updated 2026-08-18. Costs, permit fees and transport timings are researched estimates for the 2026 season and move around. Treat them as planning ranges, not quotes, and re-check permits and road status before you book.
